TEAM ANNOUNCEMENTS

A LOOK AT Team GT
TODD WELLS, 2005 Cyclocross National Champion. He was also 2nd at the U.S. Short Track & Cross-Country National Championships. Todd’s main focus will be on the U.S. National MTB & CX Championships and World Cup XC, as well as select National Mountain Bike Series XC or UCI CX events. The USPRO National Championships are included in the road agenda.

HANS REY: Hans Rey, the Godfather of Freeride and 20th year in the GT Squad, was featured on 20 magazines covers in 2005. He also launched Wheels 4 Life charity. Hans plans to increase his Adventure Team trips series for 2006 and continue his workshops, trials, and other PR-related stuff to maximize exposure for his sponsors.

BRYN ATKINSON: 2nd at the 2005 Sea Otter Gravity Omnium and 7th at the Downhill World Championships. For 2006, the Aussies’ goals are to finish in the top five at the World Championships and consistently finish in 7th at the World Cups.

NEW TEAM MONGOOSE INDUCTEE
ANDREW NEETHLING was 4th in the NMBS Downhill. The 2006 World Cup and National Mountain Bike Series circuits will be the focus of the South African. His main discipline is downhill. There will also be 4-Cross, select jump and freeride events.

MTB STAR CAPTAINS ROAD TEAM
CARL DECKER: U.S. Single Speed National Champion, National Road Champion, 3rd at the U.S. Short Track National Championships. Carl will once again balance his year of mountain biking and cross-country racing for Team Giant, while also racing on the roads for the Broadmark Capitol Cycling Team. Broadmark Capital will have Carl as its team captain in 2006.
