IBert Safe T-Seat. A Better Way To Take Your Kids

Many riders have a child that is too young for a ride. iBert Inc. created the safe-T seat, a child-safety seat that attaches directly to your mountain bike’s steerer tube.

Tech features: The Safe-T-Seat was designed for children aged four and below. The minimum age for the Safe-T-Seat is 12 months. This is because the child must be able sit up and be strong enough to support the helmet. The Safe-T-Seat can only be used by children who are 107 cm tall. Children taller than this will find it difficult to use the Safe-T-Seat. Maximum weight recommended is 17 kg You can reach iBert by clicking here

After the thrashing, the Safe-T-Seat slides onto an patented stinger mount system. The stinger attaches to the bike’s steerer tube under the handlebar stem. It is located above the headset. The Safe-T-Seat was mounted on Sean McCoys tandem mountain bicycle, which allows him to take his youngest child along on rides.

It took only 20 minutes to install the stinger clamp. The instructions were simple and easy to follow. This is a one-time job because the stinger clamp stays on your bike. The Safe-T-Seat is easy to slide on and off of the stinger clamp. The Safe-T-Seat’s tolerance to the stinger was quite loose. This resulted in some play. It is a loose fit that causes the seat to sway slightly from side to side. This takes some time to adjust to.

To get your child into the Safe-T-Seat, you will need to straddle your bike and then lift your little one up. You are now ready to go!

We found the Safe-T-Seat to be perfectly placed on the trail to give the rider full access to the handlebars for normal steering and pedaling. A seat that places the child behind the saddle is far more comfortable for bike handling because of its weight distribution.

Keep these things in mind: Your little riding buddy is doing an amazing job protecting you from the wind. So make sure to dress your child warmly. You should also choose your trail carefully. You can ride solo on the technical loops or fast sections.
